Low in Sugar Raspberry Chia Jam. Recipe and Video.

I love so much toast with jam and coffee for breakfast. But always prefer something healthier with less sugar. Jams are full of sugar because It`s impossible to make right consistency without a large amount of sugar and pectin. Great thanks to chefs who like innovations! We have a new product now. This is raspberry jam based on chia seeds. Chia is a great gelling agent and real superfood. This is a good source of omega-3, dietary fiber, and high protein content.

Raspberry chia jam is a delicious treat, light and fresh. Just look at this vibrant color and jelly texture. Spread raspberry chia jam on avocado toast and you will be surprised how delicious avocado paired with raspberry. Avocado instead butter here. Use raspberry chia jam as a filling for Vegan Wagon WheelsChia pudding, and macarons. Add a spoonful on top of morning porridge or yoghurt. Or just eat it all immediately with a cup of chamomile tea.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of frozen raspberries, thawed
  • 1-2 Tbs Light syrup (agave, rice or apple). If you like natural flavor, just no add sweetener.
  • 1,5-2 Tbs Chia seeds
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice

Directions

Mix all ingredients. Mash the raspberries using a fork. Let jam thicken in the refrigerator for about one hour.
